Anomalies, paradox and inconsistencies

The common module rubric has a large focus on Anomalies, paradox and inconsistencies. These are all techniques which you should try to use in your essay’s to demonstrate you have an understanding of the rubric. The differences between these three words are very nuanced, but hopefully you will pick up on these.

Anomalies – deviating from what is standard, normal, or expected.

Paradox – absurd or contradictory statement or logic which is plausible when thought through.

Inconsistency – Different from what is normal.

Think of your prescribed text. What are some example of Anomalies, paradoxes and inconsistencies in it and what effect do these have in demonstrating a shared human experience.
