Sci-News – Biopharmaceuticals and Synthetic Biology

Synthetic biology (SynBio) is the next revolution. It is about designing and building with the fundamental components of living systems. The industrial revolution, information revolution and artificial revolution will pale in comparison. The SynBio revolution is an amalgamation of systems engineering, biology and chemistry. We will be seeing advancements in drug design and discovery, consumer technology, energy production and storage, disease treatment and monitoring to name a few areas.

To drive the SynBio revolution we will need divergent thinkers well versed in interdisciplinary thinking. This revolution is ripe with intellectual and economic opportunity. We will see modern day Einstein’s and Steve Job’s emerge.
